History
Don Bosco Science Academy is an International, co-educational, science secondary school with an accelerated practical oriented academic programme. It was founded in response to the need for a world class science-based secondary school with a motive of nurturing the future scientists of Nigeria. Don Bosco Science Academy was envisaged by an Indian couple, Mr. Antony Joseph and Mrs. Philomine Mary Joseph who are dedicated science and mathematics teachers and educational administrators. The school provides an all-round education with bias for Science and Mathematics. It wakes up the scientist in each child to make a greater contribution to humanity.
Vision
Don Bosco Science Academy seeks to become a great centre of science education in Nigeria. This newly developed curriculum for the Senior Secondary level encompasses the National Curriculum of Nigeria and the examination Syllabi of WAEC (West African Examination Council), NECO (National Examination Council), Cambridge ‘O’ level, SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) and ICSE (Indian Certificate of Secondary Education).
In Junior Secondary level, Don Bosco Science Academy follows the Nigerian National and Indian National Centre for Educational Research and Training (NCERT) curricula for the subjects and the syllabi of examinations conducted by NECO and Edo State Ministry of education. An intense leadership training and hands-on practical activities to initiate spontaneous self-discipline, self-confidence and self-reliance are also part of our vision.
Mission
Don Bosco Science Academy produces committed, disciplined and honest leaders in the field of science who will put Nigeria in her place of honor and pride in the world of science. Don Bosco Science Academy is an institution where we aim to let our students’ ambition become the nucleus of the scientific development of the nation.

Don Bosco Science Academy is situated in a serene and conducive tropical rain forest biome. It is located at kilometre five along Ekpoma-Ukhun (Ukhun-Idoa) Road. It is a place where refreshingly, nature and modernity fuse for the benefit of our students. The oxygen rich, pollution free air is a natural tonic for teenagers and the quiet environment is conducive for teaching and learning.
